West Midlands National Park Lab
Awards
The WMNP Awards highlight organisations, communities and projects which align with the West Midlands National Park ethos. The inaugural WMNP Awards in 2021 recognised, celebrated and shared examples of best practice supporting the development and delivery of the WMNP. In 2022 we were delighted to award 11 projects representing excellence across the region, and for the first time, an award to an overseas project whose ethos aligned closely with that of the West Midlands National Park.
Applicants for a WMNP Award are considered from a wide range of topics relating to the physical environment, wellbeing, culture, governance and financial innovation, nature, policy, and research.
Judged by an international jury, the awards are not about rewarding business as usual, but recognising proposals that are influencing change, catalysing action and informing debate. More simply – projects that have flair, potential, and the ability to make a difference.
2023 Awards open for applications
Entries are welcome from any discipline, and any geographical area that demonstrate action across the 9 strands of the WMNP ethos (see below).
